To compliment the artisanal Matakana surrounds, the interior is chosen for a palette of warm, natural, timeless, contemporary rustic, textural tones, materials and finishes and custom-made pieces, and all should be made from top quality materials. We have chosen for some of the materials and products to have an artisanal handmade look.

Light fittings are among the most important of any interior design scheme. Lighting can make or break the atmosphere of a home. Lighting can be a large statement piece, such as the organic, eye-drawing pendant chosen above the kitchen island. But it can also help magnify and feature other design choices, such as LED spotlights in the ceiling which are pointed over velvet wallpaper in the master bedroom, and the same technique over the concrete tiles of the laundry.

Ginene and Jamie

A traditional black board & batten style home situated in an idyllic valley in the heart of Matakana's country side, with lovely views towards rolling hills and olive trees. Ginene and Jamie asked us to design, manufacture and install a new kitchen in the existing space, but were open to options about how to best achieve their vision.

“We engaged Nanda to assist us in the redesign of our Kitchen and Laundry. She brought a fresh vision to the project that was much appreciated and her attention to every detail really made the project. Nanda communicated well with us throughout the design and build and the end product is amazing and a testament to her skills. We would highly recommend Nanda for any project.”

"After purchasing a large house with no curtains, blinds etc and being daunted by the prospect of decorating it, I looked on the web and found Twin Rivers Interiors. From the initial phone conversation with Nanda, I felt she was just the person I was looking for. Nanda was so friendly and professional and really listened to what we wanted to achieve."
